SUMMER PROGRAM GUIDELINES
Registration is now open for Summer 2024
Duanesburg AYSO is Back and Better than Ever!!! We are excited to get the kids back on the field and provide them a safe and fun environment to learn soccer and be great kids!
As a reminder, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) has been working to improve the consistency of youth soccer programs in the United States. One of the largest changes that affects AYSO is that our Age Brackets have changed. This change now allows all kids who are ages 4 - 10 on December 31, 2024 to be eligible to play this summer!!!
Duanesburg AYSO offers 4 programs during the Summer. To determine the program of your young athlete, simple determine their age on December 31st of 2024 and check out their Program below

AYSO Playground Soccer - Children who are 4 years old on December 31, 2024
AYSO Playground uses group activities, soccer themes and parent participation to develop the fundamental motor skills that prepare kids for all sports. Kids who are 5 and have not played before are eligible to play AYSO Playground, but are not required to.

6U Program - Kids who are 5 or 6 on December 31, 2024
The 6U program is a time for exploration. This age bracket is for kids who are school age. As they explore a new sport and new skills through fundamental development and 4v4 small sided games, they will continue to grow the independence that they began to have in Kindergarten and 1st Grade
8U Program - Kids who are 7 or 8 on December 31, 2024
The 8U program is a time for Discovery. These young athletes will begin to discover themselves as part of a team. They begin to learn cause and effect, teamwork and problem solving through 4v4 small sided soccer games.
10U Program - Kids who are 9 or 10 on December 31, 2024
The 10U program is a time for Adventure. 9 and 10 year old athletes begin to pair a willingness and ability to absorb new information with a desire to be better. This program leverages a 7v7 format to teach Leadership, communication, work ethic, and expanded skills and tactics of the game
